COOKIES POLICY
Version 1.2 • Effective: 21 July 2026
DIKAI LTD — dikigoros.ai Service
1. About this Policy
This Cookies Policy explains how DIKAI LTD (HE 465697) uses cookies and similar technologies on the dikigoros.ai website and on the platform of the same name (collectively the “Service”). It supplements the Privacy Policy, which is the principal notice required by Articles 13 and 14 GDPR.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and store information about your preferences or earlier actions.
By duration, cookies are session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain for a specific period). By origin, they are first-party cookies (placed by DIKAI) or third-party cookies (placed by other providers through our Service).
3. Legal framework
The use of cookies and similar technologies in the Republic of Cyprus is governed by:
-
Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC on Privacy in Electronic Communications (ePrivacy), as transposed into Cyprus law by the Regulation of Electronic Communications and Postal Services Law 112(I)/2004.
-
The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and the Cyprus Law on the Protection of Natural Persons with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data 125(I)/2018.
-
EDPB Guidelines 03/2022 and 02/2023, and related guidance from the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
Under this framework, the placement of non-strictly-necessary cookies requires your prior, freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent. Consent must be as easy to withdraw as to give.
4. Categories of cookies we use
Current status: the dikigoros.ai website and platform do not set any first-party cookies. The four categories below are provided for transparency and describe how we would classify cookies if we introduce them; the technologies we actually use today are described in Sections 5 and 7.
We classify cookies into four categories:
A. Strictly necessary cookies. These are essential to operating the Service — for example, for sign-in authentication, session continuity, CSRF protection and load balancing. They do not require your consent, but we list them for transparency. Without them the Service does not function.
B. Functional cookies. These would improve your experience — for example, by remembering a display setting. They require your consent. (We currently store your language preference in local storage, not in a cookie — see Section 7.)
C. Statistics / analytics cookies. These help us understand how users interact with the Service so that we can improve it. They require your consent, except where they are strictly anonymised and meet the conditions of the competent authority.
D. Marketing cookies. These are used for targeted content or advertising. They require your consent. At present we do not use marketing cookies. Should this change in the future, you will be informed in advance and your separate consent will be sought.
5. Cookies and storage we currently use
The dikigoros.ai website and platform do not set any first-party cookies. To keep you signed in and to remember your language choice, the Service stores a small amount of information in your browser's local storage (see Section 7).
When you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout pages, where Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and security (see Section 6). These are third-party cookies governed by Stripe's own policies; they are not set by dikigoros.ai.
If we introduce first-party cookies in the future, we will list them here and, where they are not strictly necessary, ask for your consent beforehand.
6. Third-party cookies and providers involved
We use Stripe to process subscription payments. When you proceed to payment, you are directed to Stripe's secure hosted checkout, where Stripe may set its own cookies to prevent fraud and secure the transaction. Stripe acts as an independent controller in respect of those cookies. Please consult Stripe's privacy and cookies policies: https://stripe.com/privacy. dikigoros.ai does not set or read these cookies.
7. Local storage and other technologies
Following EDPB Guidelines 02/2023, Article 5(3) ePrivacy applies not only to cookies but also to other technologies that store or access information on your device, such as browser local storage. The Service uses local storage only to operate core features:
-
Authentication session — tokens that keep you securely signed in between requests (strictly necessary).
-
Language preference — remembers whether you use the Service in Greek or English.
We do not use local storage for analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, pixel tags, or any third-party tracking.
8. Managing cookies and local storage
Because the Service currently sets no first-party cookies and uses local storage only for the strictly necessary and preference purposes described above, we do not display a cookie-consent banner: we set no cookies, and the local storage we use is either strictly necessary (your sign-in session) or stored at your explicit request (your language choice).
You remain in full control:
-
You can clear local storage and block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Instructions are provided on the help pages of the main browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge).
-
Signing out clears your authentication session from local storage.
-
Any cookies set by Stripe during payment are governed by Stripe's own controls and policies.
If we introduce cookies that require consent, we will present a consent mechanism and update this Policy beforehand.
9. Effect of blocking these technologies
Blocking the local storage used for your authentication session will prevent you from staying signed in, so core features will not work. Clearing your language preference simply resets the interface to its default language. Blocking cookies set by Stripe may prevent you from completing a payment.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes in technology or legal requirements. The date of last update is shown at the top of the document. Where the change is material we will notify you prominently within the Service and seek your consent again where required.
